Welcome to LEARN Charter School 3rd Campus!

As the newest addition to LEARN’s network of schools in Chicago’s East Garfield Park Neighborhood, we are already seeing impressive results. In our first year, over 94% of our Kindergarten through 3^rd grade students made a year or more growth in reading (as determined by the STEP assessment).  Additionally, over 90% of our K-3 students made over a year’s growth in math and reading combined (as determined by the Northwest Evaluation Association).  Please click here for more information about our academic results for the 2009-2010 school year.

 

Within our first 100 days of school, 87% of our 3^rd grade students reached their mid-year reading goals and 58% already made a year’s growth in reading  (as measured by the NWEA MAP test).  These gains reflect the tireless work of our results-oriented, dedicated instructors who collaborate together to provide strategic instruction based on the individual needs of students. 

 

At LEARN 3rd Campus, we are committed to educating the whole child. Our objective is to ensure that effective student-centered instruction is provided daily, in a resource-rich environment, where students receive high levels of attention and support.  LEARN schools provide small class sizes with two instructors in each classroom, an extended school year (200 days) and school day (8:30-4 p.m.) as well as tailored-made instructional plans developed for each student based on real data.   In addition to our rigorous academic programs, we offer physical education (including yoga), art, Spanish and music classes.
