The media club had the opportunity to visit ABC 7 Chicago’s studio and receive a full tour from their news team. The scholars spoke with the anchors, shared why they are interested in journalism, and how their involvement in the media club can lead to a fulfilling, service-oriented career.
LEARN is dedicated to focusing on the whole child, supporting our scholars with wraparound supports in and out of the classroom to help them succeed in school and in life. The creation of the media club exemplifies this commitment: Scholars develop the skills, confidence, and motivation to explore their curiosities and give back to their community through journalism. LEARN is immensely proud of our media club scholars and of this well-deserved feature, and are grateful to our team for continuing to provide exceptional educational experiences.
